the article is a simple out of the box deployment. in real life scenario there are issues like multple authentications (SQL / FBA, AD). Then there is also the processing of customizing the ISA login interface for users to choose between a AD authentication of FBA (using another authentication mechanism, like SQL).

Thanks, this is very usefull, I wondered if you could extend it to cover the aspect of allowing Office2007 collaboration clients to access a MOSS2007 farm in extranet scenario while maintaining collaboration features like having word automatically downloading a document for editing and not having to re-authenticate .
